Eligible Improvements

Must be a replacement unit. Purchase and installation must take place in Alberta. A copy of the receipt must indicate payment method (in full), the applicant’s name, installation address and purchase date, along with the manufacturer and model of the furnace/boiler or hot water system.

ENERGY STAR qualified instantaneous (tankless), gas-fired water heater with an energy factor of 0.82 or higher

ENERGY STAR qualified instantaneous (tankless), gas-fired water heater with an energy factor of 0.90 or higher
